ROADTRIP...are ya'll ready for this? :)

(Sorry the pictures are so spaced out!!!)
I went to Ohio this weekend to visit my aunt and uncle. I left on Friday afternoon, and it took me about 6 hours to get there. We went out to Subway for supper. We went to my cousin Kevin's house and spent some time there. Him and his wife Brooke, just had twin boys a month and a half ago! Then we stopped real quick at my cousin Laura's house and visited with her and her husband Shane. We spent the rest of the night being lazy :)

Saturday, we went out for breakfast. Then we went downtown Columbus. This is the State building.

We went to my aunt's office. This is the view of the Columbus skyline from her 15th floor office.

Hmmmm I can see myself here in about 10 years!

We were going to stop at Starbucks (in the same building as her office) on the way up but there was a long line. So we decided to wait until after the office tour. Good thing we did. We walked in and this is who we saw....

wait for it....

None other than governor Arnold Swarchenegger!!! The man in the green shirt with a beard and a huge grin is my uncle. He loves Arnold!!

He stopped for a picture but this one is better than the posed one. He told us to have a good day :)

My aunt and I went shopping in the afternoon. We went to a store called White House Black Market and everything in it is white and black. We made a deal that she would try on this dress if I did. Here's a picture of it :) Well, I was still in the changing room and she said that she would meet me up front. When I got up she handed me a bag...she had bought me this dress! Sneaky huh?

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. This is dessert...Snicker's cheesecake!

My beautiful baby cousin Owen. I could just sit and hold him all day!

Other beautiful baby, Justin

Laura's youngest son, Zack. He loved having his picture taken, though you can't really tell from this picture! :)

This is a sign at the restaurant we went to last night. I thought it was funny

Ugh. This is such a serious pose. But I was driving. No, not really, I was at a stop sign, leaving their subdivision this morning.

These trucks were making me so mad! They were going 60 right beside eachother so no-one could pass!

Milan Michigan. I've been to both Milan Italy, and Milan Michigan :)

I HAD to stop and get White Castle. Are the burgers so cool looking?!?!?

This is a "small" chocolate shake. I'd hate to see what the large looks like!!!

I have a slight problem....it's called a lead foot. There is no cure for me. Oh well. I made it home in 5.5 hours :)

  1. I was hoping you would have a picture of Arnold! That's really cool! Being a Mom I must ask - were you taking pictures while driving? Not a good plan, also slow down! We value your life! Glad you had a good time!

  2. Thanks for the re-cap on your trip south! It looks as though you had a great visit. Cute babies! :)
Tyler loved Arnold! Not Arnold the governator, but the body building Arnold of the 70's and 80's! We have a large picture of him in our gym! Tyler would have been so jealous! lol!!

  3. Ooo! I loved the little black and white dress your Aunt bought for you. What a wonderful aunt you have! It looks like you had a really good time.

Columbus is near where I grew up. We had to go to the big city to shop and Columbus, Dayton or Cincinnati were the shopping places.

We always had teacher conventions in Columbus.

Glad you had a great time!

  4. How fun- you're going to laugh at me- but I don't think I'd dare drive that far by myself- I'd get lost!
That's really cool getting to see Arnold.
I'm wondering if your excessive speed has something to do with the problems your car has had of late- hee hee!
