They come in laughing at nothing
Talking on a cell phone
And sit down across from me
Pull out a fashion magazine
Gossiping about their friends
Who's dating who...who's single
A man walks by says:
"That's an awesome smile"
"Thank you" and laughs
To her friend "that's so wierd"
Goes back to careless gossip
Back to their stuck up world
There you go. I don't usually share my writing with people because I'm too self-conscious about it, but a few people told me they liked this one, so I figured I'd step out of my comfort zone :)
Also, I think I have overcome my writer's block I mentioned the other day. I talked with Stacey, my professor, and some other friends and I think I know where my story is headed!

Your poem is great! It gives me a little peak into your mind/life! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job melissa! You go at that story!
ReplyDeleteI like it Melissa! It's good, because I can picture that whole scenario in my mind as I read it.
ReplyDeleteI think it's really good. I'm glad you shared it!
