The other day I showed you pictures of my spray painting project...here's the final project...
Before
and after
You might have to click on the picture to see it bigger so you know what I'm talking about but...I think the turpentine I used ruined my clocks!! :( Though I covered up the face of the clocks, some spray paint still got on it. So I used turpentine to clean it off...well, I think that it took the shine off of my clocks, so now they look bad cuz they're all scratched looking. I tried cleaning them with windex but that didn't work, so I might try some buffing stuff and then a shiny coat. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to restore the shine to my clocks????

What a bummer! I have no idea how to fix that. Confession time... I cleaned my perscription glasses with Lava soap at work a long time ago (I was pregnant with Anna so maybe I can use that as my excuse) well Lava soap has little pieces of sand in it... do you see where this is going? Yup, I totally scratched up the lenses of my glasses I felt so stupid. That was an expensive, dumb moment on my part.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't fix them maybe you could go some where and get just the glass/plexiglass cut to size to replace them.
Smiles!
That is so dissapointing. I wish I had some brilliant idea, but I don't have any ideas for you.
ReplyDeleteOh no! The silver paint looks great but I think the plexiglass is ruined. Sorry. :(
ReplyDeleteBummer! If all else fails, maybe just take the plexiglass off! Not the prettiest solution... but hey!

Goo Gone????? The terpentine probably ruined it. Not sure. Nice try though! Why do you have three clocks and they all say different times? Are you doing the different time zones?
