I don't like fish. I don't like the smell, I don't like the taste, and I don't like the texture. However, I do like to fish. And yes, when fishing with live bait, I will break the worm apart with my fingers. But that's getting off topic. Last night my mom was eating a piece of smoked salmon that my grandpa sent home with her. He caught it in the Pacific Ocean. Anyway, she offered me a piece and being brave, I took a small bite. It wasn't as bad as I expected. Not too fishy, but not something I would ever choose to eat more of. I thought that was the end of my fish adventure...not so. I got to work this morning and upon opening the door to the dirty laundry room, I was overwhelmed with the scent of fish. I washed the kitchen cloths but I could still smell it. Venturing out into the hallway, the smell was still present. And when I washed the clothes, I could smell fish on them too. Apparently dinner last night was fish. At times the smell of fish was so overpowering that I thought I would gag! Just another reason why I don't like fish. :)

ReplyDeletesame here! i don't like fish at all! my parents used to make me and my brother eat fish sticks but that is as far as the fish and my relationship got. lol. that is okay to have long messages, i like to read. i think that would be lots of fun to have a mission booth type of thing at the craft sale with you and me and anna. so that is a good idea too. thanks!
ReplyDeleteI don't like fish either. The smell is horrible. I'm impressed that you break apart worms- wouldn't get me to do that either!
ReplyDeleteI like fish, I just dont like having to eat around the little bones of panfish. Guess I better get Jay to figure out how to get all their bones out then cook them up. BTW I can TOTALLY relate to the bad smells and gagging ;)
ReplyDeleteOh Melissa - I am sooooo with you. I see my mother has said that she doesn't like fish. Well that's odd because I used to get force fed these disgusting fish patties. They were Heather's favorite and so she would request them and I would literally be crying and gagging at the table and no one cared. I hate fish and will not eat it. Except tuna fish. For some reason as long as there's mayo in it I can eat tuna. Sorry for your bad fish experience!
ReplyDeleteOh, so sorry you had to endure that awful odor, I don't like fish either so I know what you mean.
